I'll be there for you.......when the rain starts to pour

My all time favorite sitcom!!!! They make my day... good mood/ bad mood, happy/ sad.... whatever and whenever!!! Here's little bit of  trivia!
One of the most popular and longest-running sitcoms in television history, gaining tens of millions of fans all over the globe. The show won many awards during its run, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, and six consecutive People's Choice Awards for Favorite Television Comedy Series.

Filming for the series began in the summer of 1994 in front of a live audience. Each 22-minute episode took six hours to film.
The main characters from the show are named after "All My Children" (1970) characters. Ross for Ross Chandler, Joey for Joey Martin, Chandler for the Chandler family, Monica for Monique/Daisy Cortland, Rachel Greene for Janet Green, and Phoebe for Phoebe Tyler Wallingford.
The shows original theme song was "Shiny Happy People" by R.E.M., but was changed later on to "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts.
In the opening credits to 'The One After Vegas', all of the names in the opening (actors and crew) were changed to have "Arquette" at the end of them, a gag on Courteney Cox-Arquette who had just recently married David Arquette.
Joey's statue of a white dog was originally given to Jennifer Aniston as a good luck present from her best friend when she started acting. She offered to lend it to the show for the episode where Joey became rich and bought a lot of stuff. After that episode, the producers decided to keep it.
The orange couch used in Central Perk was found in the basement of the Warner Bros. studio.
As with most sitcoms, episode titles are not shown. As a joking reference to this, the official names of Friends episodes take the form "The One where..." (or some variation). The only exceptions to this are the series finale ("The Last One") and the third episode of season 5 ("The One Hundredth"), though these episode titles are distinctly similar. ("The Pilot" is often incorrectly regarded as an exception, however, it has two official alternate titles: "The One Where It All Began" and "The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate.")
For almost the entire first season, there wasn't a street outside of Central Perk, just a painted backdrop. They made the window a little blurry and put many plants in front of the window to hide it.
The golden frame around the peephole was originally a mirror which one of the crew accidentally smashed. But because it still looked good they decided to leave it there.
The first season was shot on Stage 5 at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.[49]
The opening title sequence was filmed in a fountain at the Warner Bros. Ranch at 4:00 am.
At the beginning of the second season, production moved to the larger Stage 24, which was renamed "The Friends Stage" after the series finale.

At the end before the gang leaves to get some coffee, there is a shot of Rachel crying and using Ross' arm to hide it. These are real tears that happened during filming and weren't suppose to be in the final shot.
Although the producers always wanted to find the right stories to take advantage of being on location, Friends was never shot in New York.
In the U.S., 52.5 million viewers watched the finale, making it the most-watched entertainment telecast since the Seinfeld finale in 1998.[1]
Although it was not the series' most-watched episode,[57] the finale was the fourth most-watched series finale in television history (only behind the finales of M*A*S*HCheers and Seinfeld, which were respectively watched by 105, 80.4 and 76.2 million viewers) and the most watched episode of the decade.

Wonderful world of movie costumes.....

1. The emerald green dress worn by Keira Knightley in Atonement has been voted (by InStyle   magazine) the best film costume of all time.

2. Marilyn Monroe's white dress from The Seven Year Itch, worn as she stood over a subway grate, was second.

3. The little black Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's was third.

4. Olivia Newtown-John's skin-tight black pants from the final scene of Grease came in at number four.

5.  Kate Winslet's costume from Titanic

6. Diane Keaton's tie and waistcoat in Annie Hall;

7. Nicole Kidman's satin corset from Moulin Rouge

8. Liza Minnelli's stockings and bowler hat in Cabaret

9. The gown worn by Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age

10. Vivien Leigh's dresses from Gone With The Wind.

Although, I think the red dress (third one on the top) was THE one, I've put them all, since she looks really spectacular in everything, even in her green curtains!
